Kulmbach District workers Log important Overtime Hours
Workers in the Kulmbach district accumulate approximately 122,000 hours of work daily, according to a recent analysis by the Pestel Institute. The study encompasses businesses within the crafts, industrial, service, and trade sectors.
Rainer Reißfelder, a representative from the food-Gourmet-Gastronomy Union (NGG), highlighted the prevalence of overtime and the challenges associated with shift work. “Many employees consistently work beyond their standard hours,” Reißfelder stated. “Shift work presents a significant burden, and frequent transitions between shifts can be particularly stressful.”
The Pestel Institute’s findings underscore the demanding work environment faced by many in the Kulmbach district and raise concerns about potential impacts on employee well-being. Further research is needed to explore the long-term effects of these work patterns and identify strategies to mitigate stress and promote a healthier work-life balance.
