‘Untamed’ Season 2 Heads to Hawaii, Adds New Cast Members
Netflix’s Untamed is trading the cliffs of Yosemite for the volcanic landscapes of Hawaii. Production is underway on Season 2, which will follow special agent Kyle Turner, played by Eric Bana, as he investigates a new case in Hawai’i Volcanoes National Park.
Production Details and New Location
Filming began in February 2026, with a Hawaiian blessing held on February 23rd attended by Eric Bana, John Wells, co-showrunners Mark L. Smith and Elle Smith, and Netflix and Warner Bros. Television representatives [Screen Realm]. Production will accept place on location on O’ahu and the island of Hawai’i [Screen Realm].
The shift in location is intentional, according to Smith and Elle Smith. They explained to Netflix’s Tudum that they wanted to explore “the pristine landscapes and cultural identity of a very different national park, and uncover Turner in a new state of mind, outside the comfort of Yosemite” [Netflix Tudum]. Each national park offers a unique setting and cultural context for the series’ investigations [Netflix Tudum].
