United Overseas Bank (UOB) is offering a promotional payment facility allowing credit cardholders to generate unlimited miles at a rate of 1.6 to 1.8 cents each, according to reporting by The MileLion and Mainly Miles. The discounted administrative fee applies to payment applications approved between now and October 31, 2026.
UOB Payment Facility Fee Structure and Rates
According to Mainly Miles, the UOB Payment Facility awards rewards using a specific calculation instead of standard retail earning rates. Transactions earn UNI$2.5 for every S$5 of the approved amount charged, which equals 1 mile per dollar (mpd). Because of how UOB rounds these figures, transactions should ideally be made in S$10 denominations to avoid rounding down UNI$2.5 blocks on odd S$5 increments, as noted by Mainly Miles.
For example, a S$5,000 transaction under the 1.8% promotional fee using a UOB PRVI Miles card incurs a S$90 fee. This transaction credits 2,500 UNI$—equal to 5,000 KrisFlyer or Asia Miles—resulting in an effective purchase rate of 1.8 cents per mile, according to Mainly Miles. Cardholders can generate miles up to 95% of their available credit limit, with application processing taking four to six working days.
Comparison With Previous UOB Promos
The current offering represents an improvement over UOB’s previous iterations. In early 2026, the bank’s payment facility offered a purchase rate between 1.7 and 2.1 cents per mile, while early 2025 rates ranged from 1.6 to 1.9 cents per mile, according to Mainly Miles. While alternative providers like Citi PayAll, CardUp, and ipaymy regularly offer competitive avenues for card spend, the UOB facility permits cardholders to transfer funds directly to their bank accounts for any purpose without requiring an underlying invoice, according to Mainly Miles.
