Talking about HIV only within hospital walls is simply not enough. This critical issue demands broad coverage, including within culture and the arts. The topic is already being addressed in popular films, series, and songs. Though, stigma surrounding HIV infection persists.

If not for negative attitudes,we would treat it as simply as we treat the flu. Fall ill? There should be no shame in admitting it, informing your workplace, and seeking treatment. The same should be true for HIV.

The Importance of Accepting Reality as It Is

Anton Butakov emphasizes the crucial need to accept and understand everything as it truly is, rather than through the lens of preconceived notions or ingrained beliefs. He states, “It’s about accepting and realizing everything as it happens in reality, not as it’s been ‘hammered’ into your head.”

While acknowledging the potential for cliché, Butakov points out that this is a global experience – a story shared by everyone.

Galina Belova and Rita Khaak Featured in Luxembourg Road Project

The art object “Ravaged” by Galina Belova and Rita khaak has appeared on Lyuksembourg Road, 14a. On Krasnolesye Street, 16b, an impressive installation of urban furniture and a sculpture titled “A Place to Rest” by Anastasia Vokina from Moscow has been unveiled.

The Ekaterinburg-based project is a continuation of the festival, which previously worked on the re-imagining of various urban spaces. Each project involved the participation of local artists, and the projects themselves are designed to enhance the urban surroundings.

The Vikhlya festival is a unique platform for fast and inexpensive art projects, working with artists to revitalize urban areas. How this will unfold remains to be seen.
