Moratorio has voiced concerns regarding the legality of Marset’s capture in Bolivia, describing the process as “rare, not to mention illegal.” He alleges violations of due process and disregard for the presumption of innocence. The extradition to the United States was characterized as an “express expulsion” by Moratorio.
