For reference, many Americans are currently protesting in their own legal ways.

– late

Even though ICE agents were surrounded by protesters and calling for backup, local police responded that ‘another emergency call had been received.’ They move as slowly as possible or don’t go at all, making excuses such as ‘I’m far away so it will take some time’.

– Alarm clock

When protesters gather in front of the hotel where ICE agents are staying, ICE asks local police to control the protesters. Then the local police arrive excitedly and sound their sirens loudly all day long. The same goes for when agents need to sleep. Because controlling protesters is important.

– Parking enforcement

ICE agents’ vehicles must comply with local traffic laws when not on official business, and local police have the authority to enforce local traffic law violations. If ICE agents park illegally to eat, police officers will immediately show up and tow the ICE agent’s vehicle or give them a ticket.

– Speed camera

If a vehicle that appears to belong to ICE is speeding while not on official duty, it will be immediately stopped and ticketed. If you are a local resident, there is no need to send a warning.

– Vehicle appearance crackdown

An ICE vehicle was inspected and identified, saying it had “dark tint” and “a suspicious vehicle was reported.”

However, from the police perspective, there is nothing they can do because they cannot tell whether a vehicle with no markings and dark tint is a federal agent’s operational vehicle or a terrorist vehicle.

-Sudden inspection

ICE agents are not allowed to sleep outdoors, so they must stay in local hotels while conducting operations in that area. Then, coincidentally, that day happened to be the day when City Hall conducted a large-scale ‘fire inspection’ and ‘sanitation inspection’. No hotel would be happy to have city hall officials trampling around, so the proper hotels in the area ended up refusing to accommodate ICE agents.
