Looking Ahead
Disney Animation has another original film, Hexed, slated for release next year. The studio notes that launching original animated films can be challenging without a strong “princess” element, similar to the success of Frozen. Deadline Hexed reportedly centers on a teenage boy and his mother who discover hidden magical abilities and are transported to a world where magic thrives.
Also opening on Wednesday, November 25, 2026, is Universal’s Focker in-Law, the fourth installment in the comedy franchise. Deadline
Leading into Thanksgiving, Lionsgate’s prequel, The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, generated significant buzz with 109 million global trailer views within 24 hours. Deadline The previous Hunger Games prequel, The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes, opened to $44.6 million in 2023 and ultimately grossed $166.3 million domestically.
