USA Baseball has announced its schedule for the Regional Coach Clinics, providing full-day educational sessions tailored for youth and high school baseball coaches seeking to improve their instructional methodologies and program structures. These in-person events combine classroom theory with on-field demonstrations to help coaches refine practical teaching skills.

The clinics target both novice and experienced coaches across the youth and high school levels.

Clinic Format and Daily Agenda

Each regional clinic runs as a single-day event, typically opening with a check-in period 30 to 45 minutes prior to the start time where participants receive clinic materials, including a pen, clipboard, note sheets, a youth baseball skills matrix, and a practice plan template. Following a welcome and overview by USA Baseball staff and presenters, the itinerary divides into two main segments: classroom instruction and on-field execution.

The morning features a 2.5-hour classroom session highlighted by a moderated panel discussion, during which presenters answer questions submitted by attendees during registration. A 60-minute catered lunch break follows, providing networking opportunities and social time for participants to connect with peers and mentors in their community. The afternoon consists of 3.75 hours of drill demonstrations structured into rotating stations led by guest presenters, aligning directly with the topics covered in the morning panel.

Core Learning Objectives and Resources

The educational framework centers on several key competencies for developing young athletes safely and effectively. Participants learn how to plan and structure age-appropriate practices, improve their ability to teach core baseball fundamentals, and practice implementing game-like drills with proper progressions.

At the conclusion of the on-field sessions, a brief wrap-up highlights available educational tools. Attendees receive an overview of both free and premium resources, including the USA Baseball Mobile Coach app, coaching certification, and the BASE Compliance Program.

Registration and Liability Requirements

Coaches registering for a regional clinic must agree to a Release of Liability and Waiver Agreement for attendees aged 18 and older, acknowledging the terms of participation prior to attending the live sessions.
