UW-Stout Earns NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship Bid
INDIANAPOLIS—The University of Wisconsin-Stout has been selected to participate in the NCAA Division III Men’s Ice Hockey Championship and will host a first-round game. The announcement was made by the NCAA on March 8, 2026.
The Blue Devils (21-5-1) secured an automatic bid into the 14-team tournament by winning the WIAC Tournament/Commissioner’s Cup (presented by Culver’s). UW-Stout will face Anna Maria College (Mass.) (20-5-2) in the first round on March 14. This marks the Blue Devils’ third NCAA tournament appearance and their first since 2009.
Quarterfinal games are scheduled for March 21, with the national semifinals and championship game to be held on March 27 and 29 at Utica University (N.Y.).
