According to The Players’ Tribune, the 34-year-old two-time All-Star addressed league executives directly after enduring a lengthy series of injuries that derailed his career following a standout 2017-18 season with the Indiana Pacers where he averaged 23.1 points per game and earned All-NBA Second Team honors. In his public letter, Oladipo stated that any GM willing to listen would find a player whose physical health has recovered and whose focus remains firmly on team success. Sky Sport notes that Oladipo has been out of the NBA since April 2023, when he suffered a patellar tendon injury to his left knee while playing for the Miami Heat.
Recent Career Trajectory and G League Performance
According to Pianeta Basket, Oladipo’s last NBA action came during the 2022-23 season with Miami, where he averaged 10.7 points, 3.5 assists, and 3 rebounds across 42 games. Since then, his comeback trail has taken him overseas and into the developmental ranks. In 2025, he played for the Guangzhou Loong Lions in China before returning to the United States to join the Wisconsin Herd, the NBA G League affiliate of the Milwaukee Bucks, for the 2025-26 season.
