Charleston County Schools Launch 2026 Summer Meals Program

The Charleston County School District (CCSD) is now accepting applications from organizations interested in partnering to provide free meals to students throughout the summer of 2026. This initiative aims to combat food insecurity and ensure children and teens have access to nutritious meals during the break from school.

Program Details

The 2026 Seamless Summer Feeding Program will offer free breakfast and lunch to children and teens for eight weeks during June and July. Last year, the district successfully served over 155,000 free meals at 97 locations across Charleston County [1]. Organizations eligible to apply include schools, camps, churches, recreation programs, and other community organizations.

The deadline to submit site applications is April 3, 2026 [1].
