Vinmonopolet Price Cuts: Best Red and White Wines Under 300 NOK

Vinmonopolet reduces prices on 690 products starting October 1, featuring substantial markdowns on budget-friendly red and white wines priced under 300 Norwegian Krone. According to NTB and ABC Nyheter, the price adjustments target 71 wines that previously retailed for a maximum of 300 NOK and now carry reductions of at least 50 NOK, comprising 30 white and 41 red selections.

Notable White Wine Price Cuts

Among white wines, the steepest reduction applies to the 2022 Feldtheorie Sauvignon Blanc, which drops by 118.70 NOK from 299.70 NOK down to 181 NOK. Additional significant white wine markdowns include the 2016 Loosen Barry Walhalla Riesling, dropping from 299.90 NOK to 197.90 NOK, and the 2018 Anselmi I Capitelli, moving from 299.90 NOK to 199.90 NOK.

Other notable white wine discounts include the 2022 The Buffalo Chardonnay, reduced from 279.90 NOK to 179.90 NOK, and the 2022 Artisans Skyphos Assyrtiko, which drops from 264.90 NOK to 170.90 NOK. Shoppers will also find price cuts on the 2020 Le P’tit Paysan Jacks Hill Chardonnay, falling from 299.90 NOK to 205.90 NOK, and the 2022 Mariotto Bricco San Michele Derthona Timorasso, reduced from 299.90 NOK to 208.90 NOK.

Red Wine Reductions Under 300 Krone

On the red wine list, the 2023 Whistler Atypical Shiraz receives the largest absolute cut, dropping 130 NOK from 269.90 NOK down to 139.90 NOK. The 2020 Vera Vides Tinto follows with a substantial drop of 103 NOK, moving from 229.90 NOK to 126.90 NOK, while the 2023 Valfaccenda Vindabeive Rosso falls from 295 NOK to 195 NOK.

Additional red selections experiencing major price drops include the 2020 Clos des Treilles Pompois Anjou Rouge, reduced from 298.10 NOK to 200 NOK, and the 2019 Artisans Skyphos Xinomavro, dropping from 269.90 NOK to 172.90 NOK. The 2021 Chateau Coupe-Roses Granaxa decreases from 230 NOK to 137.90 NOK, and the 2021 Mariotto Territorio Barbera moves from 264.90 NOK to 172.90 NOK.

Implementation and Shopping Guidelines

The revised pricing officially takes effect once updated in Vinmonopolet’s official application and online store. While previous coverage by NTB and ABC Nyheter highlighted high-end premier cru Burgundies, champagnes, and Bordeaux wines included in the October 1 price changes, the current adjustments focus specifically on everyday bottles priced under 300 NOK.
