If “A Charlie Brown Christmas” is a must-watch for your family, this weekend could be the best time to watch. You won’t find it on cable channels or airing on network TV this year.
The animated TV special first aired in 1965, making it a 60-year tradition for families across the U.S. It was the first holiday special based on the Peanuts cartoon strip drawn by Charles M. Schulz. American jazz pianist Vince Guaraldi gave the show its iconic sound.
It follows Charlie Brown and the Peanuts gang while he struggles with feeling like Christmas has “gone commercial” and struggling with what the holiday is all about.
If you want to watch for free, there are only two days this year. So get your popcorn and hot cocoa and plan a movie night this weekend in Mississippi.
