Waterford City Robbery: Gardaí Appeal for Public Assistance

Gardaí in Waterford are seeking the public’s help in investigating a robbery that occurred on Monday, March 9th, 2026. The incident involved an assault and the theft of personal belongings.

Details of the Incident

At approximately 6:00 PM on March 9th, two men were walking on Hennessey’s Road in Waterford City. As they turned onto Ashe Road, one of the men was approached by a group of five individuals who assaulted him. The assailants stole the man’s mobile phone and a sum of cash.

Escape Route

Following the assault, the group of five fled the scene in the direction of Lisduggan.
