Harry Styles’ ‘Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally’ Album: Exclusive Listening Parties and Fan Reactions

Harry Styles recently generated significant buzz with exclusive listening parties for his new album, “Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally,” held in both Los Angeles and Madison, Wisconsin. These events offered a select group of fans a first glimpse into Styles’ latest musical direction, sparking excitement and anticipation for the album’s official release on March 6.

Exclusive Listening Party in Madison, Wisconsin

One of only two official U.S. Listening parties took place at Lola’s Hi/Lo Lounge in Madison, Wisconsin, on February 18th. Approximately 100 fans attended the event, gaining a sneak peek at the album ahead of its release. Fans were invited to enter a sweepstakes, with 50 chosen to attend.

Lola’s General Manager Bryn Goldberg revealed that Styles’ team specifically chose the venue three weeks prior to the event, wanting to experience the space’s acoustics and atmosphere. Attendees described the venue as a perfect fit for the album’s vibe, noting the moody lighting and ample space for dancing.

Album’s Sound and Fan Reactions

While Harry Styles wasn’t physically present at the Madison listening party, he addressed attendees via a pre-recorded audio message, emphasizing his desire to embrace new experiences and put himself “out there” more. The primary takeaway from the event was the album’s danceability.

Fans characterized “Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally” as a departure from Styles’ previous work, leaning heavily into house music and incorporating club beats, layered vocals, and effects not previously featured in his music. Olivia Nedland, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, noted the album’s resemblance to tracks like “Aperture,” highlighting its “lots of dance beats.”

Immersive Event Experience

The listening party wasn’t just about the music; it was designed to be an immersive experience. Attendees were encouraged to dress in disco-themed attire, and Lola’s offered an open bar with album-themed cocktails. Guests received tote bags with the album logo, tomato seeds, and a poster. Notably, phones were collected at the door, and disposable cameras were provided to encourage attendees to connect with each other and fully enjoy the moment.

The phrase “we belong together,” from the album’s lead single “Aperture,” resonated with the atmosphere of community and shared excitement.

Additional Listening Opportunities

Following the exclusive events, Harry Styles’ team announced a series of listening parties at independent record stores nationwide. Fans in the Madison area had the opportunity to enter a drawing to attend a midnight listening party at Strictly Discs on March 5. Lola’s likewise hinted at the possibility of hosting another listening party to coincide with the album’s official release.
