Lola’s General Manager Bryn Goldberg revealed that Styles’ team specifically chose the venue three weeks prior to the event, wanting to experience the space’s acoustics and atmosphere. While Harry Styles wasn’t physically present at the Madison listening party, he addressed attendees via a pre-recorded audio message, emphasizing his desire to embrace new experiences and put himself “out there” more. The primary takeaway from the event was the album’s danceability.

Fans characterized “Kiss All The Time, Disco Occasionally” as a departure from Styles’ previous work, leaning heavily into house music and incorporating club beats, layered vocals, and effects not previously featured in his music. Olivia Nedland, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, noted the album’s resemblance to tracks like “Aperture,” highlighting its “lots of dance beats.”

Attendees were encouraged to dress in disco-themed attire, and Lola’s offered an open bar with album-themed cocktails. Guests received tote bags with the album logo, tomato seeds, and a poster. Following the exclusive events, Harry Styles’ team announced a series of listening parties at independent record stores nationwide. Fans in the Madison area had the opportunity to enter a drawing to attend a midnight listening party at Strictly Discs on March 5. Lola’s likewise hinted at the possibility of hosting another listening party to coincide with the album’s official release.
