Its failure forces long detours and strains the city’s infrastructure, particularly commuters.

Demolition Costs Are More Expensive Than Planned
The dismantling of the old Carola Bridge demonstrates how costs have increased.Initial estimates for demolition were around 18 million euros, based on a contract for two of the three bridges. City authorities now anticipate total costs of 32 million euros, doubling the original assumption.
This sum includes not only the actual removal of the bridge but also additional expenses such as safety measures and traffic management.
