Viral Dallas Hospital Video Sparks Outrage

MESQUITE, Texas – A video of a Black woman apparently being ignored while going into labor at a Dallas hospital has taken the internet by storm, with many people expressing outrage at the actions of staff members.

The family is still requesting privacy, but the law firm representing them told FOX 4 today that they are exploring all legal remedies and will share more information soon.

The viral video also caught the attention of state lawmakers who met with hospital staff earlier this week.

The video depicts a Black mother apparently in active labor at Dallas Regional Medical Center in Mesquite and has quickly gone viral.

Many commenters are outraged by the perceived treatment of the mother.

The mother and baby have been released from the hospital and are recovering at home.

The video prompted numerous calls to state Rep. Rhetta Bowers (D-Rowlett), who is now calling for change.She stated she is working to ensure this does not happen again.
