Missouri State’s Lainie Douglas Named Conference USA Player of the Week

DALLAS – Missouri State women’s basketball forward Lainie Douglas has been named the Conference USA Player of the Week, the league announced on Tuesday, March 2, 2026. This marks Douglas’ first weekly award of the season.

Douglas averaged 20.0 points, 9.5 rebounds and 3.0 blocks per game across a 2-0 week for the Lady Bears, contributing to an improved position in the regular season standings. She shot 69.6% (16-23) from the field and 61.5% (8-13) from the free throw line.

In Tuesday’s win over Sam Houston, Douglas recorded 20 points, six rebounds, and four blocks in 21 minutes. She followed that performance with another 20 points and a career-high 13 rebounds in Missouri State’s 31-point win over FIU.

Douglas led Conference USA in scoring average for the week and ranked second in field goal percentage, third in blocks per game, and tied for fifth in rebounding average.

The Lady Bears will conclude the regular season with road games at Western Kentucky on March 5 at 6:30 p.m. And Middle Tennessee on March 7 at 2:00 p.m. Both games will be streamed on ESPN+.
