The city of Changping, China, has been confirmed as the host for the 2026 World Women’s Snooker Championship. The announcement was made on March 23, 2026, by the World Snooker Tour (WST).
About World Snooker Tour
The World Snooker Tour (WST) is the main professional snooker tour, comprising approximately 128 players competing in up to 28 tournaments each season. Established in 1997, WST is administered by World Snooker Ltd, the commercial arm of professional snooker, originally formed in 1982 as the commercial arm of the World Professional Billiards and Snooker Association (WPBSA).
Ownership and Governance
Since 2010, Matchroom Sport, owned by Barry Hearn, has been the principal stakeholder in World Snooker Ltd, holding 51% of the company. The WPBSA, the sport’s governing body, owns the remaining 26%.

WST events are broadcast globally, including on BBC Sport and TNT Sports in the UK & Ireland, Eurosport in Mainland Europe, CCTV-5 in China and various other networks across Asia and the Pacific.
