World of Warcraft & Pinterest Integration Faces Temporary Halt Due to Account Bans

A novel feature in World of Warcraft designed to allow players to share their in-game housing creations on Pinterest has been temporarily disabled after numerous users reported their Pinterest accounts were being suspended or banned following the integration. Blizzard Entertainment has acknowledged the issue and is working with Pinterest to resolve it.

The Pinterest Integration and Pin-o-Matic Camera

The integration, launched on February 18, 2026, allowed players with early access to the Midnight expansion’s housing feature to capture screenshots using an in-game toy called the Pin-o-Matic Camera and share them directly to their linked Pinterest accounts. Connecting an account also awarded players the “Craft Your World” Feat of Strength as announced by Blizzard.

Reports of Account Bans

Shortly after the feature’s release, players began reporting account suspensions and bans on Pinterest. Complaints surfaced on Reddit and community forums, with some users claiming accounts with years of history were suspended after posting a single World of Warcraft screenshot according to Dexerto. One user reported having multiple accounts banned, even those created specifically for sharing housing designs.

Blizzard’s Response and Temporary Disable

Blizzard Entertainment responded to the reports, stating they were aware of the issue and had contacted Pinterest to investigate. “Until it is solved, we’ve disabled the function. We’ll keep an eye on it and gain it turned back on as soon as it’s safe to do so,” Blizzard stated. The exact cause of the bans remains unclear, with speculation suggesting a potential issue with Pinterest’s spam filters.

The Appeal of Sharing WoW Housing

Despite the temporary setback, the collaboration between World of Warcraft and Pinterest makes sense given Pinterest’s popularity as a platform for finding design inspiration. Blizzard even maintains an official World of Warcraft account on Pinterest, showcasing various housing themes as reported by Windows Central.

The housing feature itself has been highly anticipated by the World of Warcraft community, with players eager to design and decorate their personal spaces within the game.
