NEW YORK – Columbia wrestling makes its final appearance in 2025 on Sunday when it travels to Lawrenceville, NJ, for a pair of duals. The Lions will take on Clarion at 2 p.m. before tangling with host Rider at 4 p.m.

LAST TIME OUT

Last time out, the Lions had a strong showing at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite. Four Columbia wrestlers placed, with Lorenzo Frezza capturing fourth place. As a team, the Lions finished 14th overall with 48 points.Also placing for the Lions was Cesar Alvan, who captured fifth at 165. Sulayman Bah and Aaron Ayzerov finished eighth in their respective weight classes.

According to the latest rankings from Intermat and FloWrestling, Columbia boasts four wrestlers ranked within the top 30.Matthew Frezza experienced the most meaningful jump, climbing to No. 21 from No. 26. Carson Alvan remains steady at No. 23. Nick Fine is ranked at No. 31, and Orion Ayzerov continues to hold a top-20 position at No. 16.
