Xiaomi has temporarily suspended its software distribution channels, internal beta testing, and core operational services across mainland China. The pause coincides with the annual National Day holiday in the country, a week-long official break known as Golden Week that halts domestic technology operations, factory lines, and developer teams from October 1 through October 7.
For both domestic and global users monitoring HyperOS updates, new firmware releases, and official repair logistics, several services are currently on hold before returning to normal operations. The scheduling affects multiple tiers of software deployment across the company’s ecosystem.
Suspension of Beta and Stable Builds
The Xiaomi Software Engineering and HyperOS development team has temporarily halted update distribution pathways across several categories. Developer and weekly beta builds, including internal trial builds, closed beta branches, and weekly OTA pushes, are completely frozen throughout the holiday period. Although public stable builds released previously can still be downloaded on user devices, no new stable builds or security patches will be pushed to servers during the week.

Bootloader unlocking approvals through the Xiaomi Community platform, involving automated quota allocation and manual account reviews, may face longer wait times or a temporary queue freeze until technical staff return to duty. Such routine suspensions during Golden Week represent standard industry procedure affecting major domestic original equipment manufacturers in China.
Resumption of Development and Rollout Plans
Development and testing pathways will officially resume on Thursday, October 8, 2026. Normal update releases and queued builds are scheduled to roll out gradually toward the end of the following week once staff return to work. Users waiting for new HyperOS features or monthly security patches will not receive any new OTA notifications until after October 8, at which point Xiaomi is expected to initiate a phased rollout to clear out delayed queues for supported devices.
