U23 away game
After a narrow defeat in the last away game against TSV Altenholz, the Leipzig team travels to Hohn on Friday, February 13, 2026. Although no points could be scored in front of 320 spectators in Schleswig-Holstein, the U23 demonstrated their fighting spirit and ability to concentrate to make the game exciting. After the hosts had an eight-goal lead in the 41st minute, the Green-Whites managed to reduce the deficit to three goals shortly before the end of the game.
This team performance should be demonstrated in the upcoming encounter in order to score crucial points in the second half of the season. The first leg took place in the Arena Leipzig, with the U23s suffering a defeat of 26:37. After 17 match days for SC DHfK Leipzig, both teams meet again. While Leipzig is in 16th place in the table with a win (2:34), the hosts are in ninth place. Most recently they were able to record a 33:30 win in the home game against second place in the table, HC Eintracht Hildesheim. The 18th matchday of the third league season North-East will be played in the Werner Kuhrt Hall, kick-off is at 8:30 p.m.
U19 away game
Next Saturday, February 14th, 2026, the Leipzig U19s’ journey will take them to the north: at 4:30 p.m. SC DHfK will meet the hosts VfL Horneburg in the Horneburg sports hall. In this duel on the 13th matchday of the 1st Youth Bundesliga North, it’s about much more than just two points for the U19s – it’s about getting back on the road to success after a difficult phase and sending a clear sign of strength.
The current situation presents the team with a real test of character. After four defeats in a row, including the painful 28:43 setback in the derby against SC Magdeburg last weekend, Leipzig are currently in seventh place in the table. In order not to lose touch with the upper third of the table, a sense of success is important. The team is eager to end the negative series. The hosts, currently in tenth place, celebrated a 30:26 win against HC Empor Rostock last matchday and their first win of the season. This liberation will give the North Germans self-confidence in front of their home crowd. Nevertheless, the people of Leipzig have good memories of their opponents: SC DHfK clearly dominated the first leg in their own hall and celebrated a confident 39:28 victory.
Coach voice Thomas Kölblin:
The current condition after three defeats away from home in the new year is not optimal. At the same time, we also have concerns about illness and injuries in the team. Some of the boys are simply unsettled by this. They had two days off this week to clear their heads so that we could go into the game with a lot of new courage. We expect a liberation for us to get the trend reversal again. But Horneburg is always a very nasty opponent at home. They always fight until the end, which is why we expect a very close game, which hopefully promises a positive outcome for us.
U17 home game
