Yui Lowers Body Fat to 19 Percent Ahead of Hyrox Competition

Actress Yui reduced her body fat percentage to 19% while preparing for the Hyrox competition, sportschosun.com reported.

The South Korean entertainer shared her body composition records on social media on November 3, detailing a shift in her physical metrics over a four-month period. Her records show a skeletal muscle mass of 23.9 kilograms, a body fat percentage of 19.0%, and a total body fat mass of 10.3 kilograms.

The data shows muscle mass rebounding while body fat fell sharply since the summer. On July 9, her skeletal muscle mass sat at 22.5 kilograms before dipping to 21.8 kilograms on August 10. It then rebounded to 23.9 kilograms by November 3, marking an increase of 1.4 kilograms over roughly four months.

Body fat moved in the opposite direction. After peaking at 25.2% on August 10, her body fat percentage dropped to 23.0% on August 24, reached 20.2% on October 1, and hit 19.0% in early November. That progression shaved 6.2 percentage points off her body fat percentage in about three months, while her total body fat mass fell from 13.6 kilograms to 10.3 kilograms.

Yui Details Grueling Stair Climber Routine for Hyrox Event

Yui noted on social media that preparing for the Hyrox event proved more demanding than she initially anticipated.

Her recent transformation builds on a long-term fitness routine. Appearing on Sean’s YouTube channel in June of last year, she discussed the importance of finding workouts that suit individual needs. She detailed using a stair-climber machine—popularly known as the “stairway to heaven”—completing 4,000 repetitions at a time over a period exceeding a year. She also emphasized adequate hydration and nutritious eating habits.

The actress has previously opened up about the psychological toll of past weight management. During an appearance on KBS2’s Rooftop House Problems in 2023, she recalled debuting with thick thighs and undertaking an extreme diet that left her dissatisfied with her body before she regained her confidence through consistent exercise.
