The singer of hits like “Ya te olvidé” shared her experience following a video posted on Thursday, March 5, sparking questions about her health status.
What Happened to Yuridia’s Face?
In her TikTok video, Yuridia explained she experiences herpes outbreaks in her eye during pregnancy due to a weakened immune system, causing swelling. During her pregnancy with Benny, before Noah, she successfully used acyclovir. Though, during her pregnancy with Noah, the medication caused a severe burn on her face.
“It left me a stain here, this little stain here, that I can’t remove with anything anymore,” she stated, adding, “I don’t know if that stain is going to stay there for the rest of my life or what I have to do, because it is literally a scar from a burn caused by acyclovir.”
Who is Yuridia?
Yuridia, born in Hermosillo, Sonora, rose to fame in 2005 as the runner-up on the reality present “La Academia.” Throughout her career, she has explored genres from pop ballads to regional Mexican music, achieving diamond and platinum certifications for albums like “Ya es tarde” and “Sin llorar.”
The singer is in a relationship with musician Matías Aranda, and they have three children: Phoenix, Benicio, and Noah.
