Russian Strike on Zaporizhzhia Injures Eight, Damages Nova Poshta Terminal

On the morning of March 17, 2026, Russian forces attacked Zaporizhzhia, striking near a Nova Poshta terminal and injuring eight people, according to Ivan Fedorov, Head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Military Administration (OVA).

Details of the Attack

The Ukrainian Air Force reported enemy drones and “high-speed targets” heading towards Zaporizhzhia prior to the attack. News.online.ua reported that Russia launched a mass attack on Zaporizhzhia, with five strikes recorded.

Explosions were reported in Zaporizhzhia around 6:20 AM local time. Fedorov later clarified that the strike occurred near a Nova Poshta logistics terminal.

Injuries Reported

Initially, seven Nova Poshta employees were at work during the attack. Four sustained concussions, and three suffered cuts to the head and body, as stated by Fedorov. The number of injured later increased to eight, with six employees receiving concussions and two others sustaining moderate injuries.

Nova Poshta reported that all employees on shift at the Sich innovation terminal were alive. Five who were in a shelter during the attack received concussions, and one was wounded. All are under medical supervision.

Nova Poshta Response

Nova Poshta stated that they are assessing the extent of the damage and working to restore operations at the terminal as quickly as possible. The company switched to reserve logistics capacity immediately after the attack to maintain delivery stability and has rebuilt processes with its team working in an enhanced mode.
