Ackerman Posts 179 Assists During Four-Match Week
The 18th-ranked Beavers hit .223 as a team while splitting four contests, powered heavily by their senior setter’s distribution. Ackerman opened the stretch with 37 assists in a three-set sweep of Emerson on Tuesday. She followed that performance with 47 assists and nine digs in a four-set loss to defending NCAA runner-up La Verne on Friday.
The workload intensified over the weekend. Ackerman registered a season-high 50 assists, 11 digs, and three aces in a five-set loss to Claremont-Mudd-Scripps. She closed out the week by delivering 45 assists and nine digs in a reverse sweep against Pomona-Pitzer on Saturday.
Reaching 3,600 Career Assists at Babson
During Saturday’s win over the Sagehens, Ackerman crossed a major statistical threshold. The three-time All-Region first team and All-America honorable mention selection became just the third setter in Babson program history to surpass 3,600 career assists.
Her season numbers reflect her consistent production on the court. Ackerman ranks second in the NEWMAC with 10.20 assists per set and sits fourth in the conference with 0.58 service aces per set.
