Protection for Whistleblowers

Mayor Duncan highlighted that employees who arrive forward with genuine claims are protected under both federal law and the Kansas Whistleblower Act, legislation he previously supported at the state level . He likewise noted access to independent agencies like the Kansas Human Rights Commission, the Kansas Department of Labor, and the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

Councilwoman Valdivia-Alacala’s Response
