Madison, WI – Wisconsin Badgers football has promoted Tuf Borland to the position of Inside Linebackers Coach, the program announced on March 4, 2026. Borland previously served as a graduate assistant for the Badgers since 2023.
Borland’s Background
Borland joined the Wisconsin football program in 2023 as a graduate assistant. Prior to his coaching career, Borland was a highly decorated linebacker at Ohio State University, playing from 2016 to 2020. He distinguished himself as a three-time captain for the Buckeyes.
Playing Career Highlights
During his time at Ohio State, Borland was a key defensive player. In 2020, he ranked second on the team with 55 tackles and was named Defensive MVP of the Sugar Bowl after Ohio State’s victory over Clemson, propelling them to the CFP National Championship.
Professional Experience
After going undrafted in the 2021 NFL Draft, Borland signed with the Minnesota Vikings. He appeared in two games for the Vikings during the 2021 season before being released in 2022.
