Taylor Bol Bowen, a 6-foot-10 forward, has emerged as a key player for the Alabama Crimson Tide men’s basketball team after transferring from Florida State University. Originally from Jericho, Vermont, Bowen’s journey through collegiate basketball has been marked by consistent development and a growing impact on the court.
Early Career and Transfer to Alabama
Bowen began his collegiate career at Florida State, where he played for two seasons. During his time with the Seminoles, he totaled 329 points and 233 rebounds across two seasons, averaging 5.5 points and 3.9 rebounds per game. In his sophomore season at FSU, he averaged 8.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists, shooting 48% from the field and 41% from three-point range. He recorded six double-figure scoring performances in ACC contests, including a season-high 20 points against Georgia Tech on January 18.
Following the 2024-25 season, Bowen entered the transfer portal on March 24, 2025, and quickly committed to the University of Alabama on April 4, 2025. This move brought a skilled and versatile forward to the Crimson Tide program.

Since joining Alabama, Bowen has demonstrated his abilities as a dynamic player. He was observed carrying Nike Kobe 5 Protros in University Red with gold-foil snake detailing during team arrivals at Benchmark International Arena. He has showcased his scoring ability, rebounding prowess, and defensive skills in several key games.

Prep Career
Originally from Egypt, Bowen moved to Jericho, Vermont, and attended Brewster Academy. He led Brewster Academy to a pair of Elite Eight appearances in the National Prep Championship Tournament and won the NEPSAC Class Triple A Championship during his junior season. He was also a NEPSAC runner-up in his senior season and a 2023 McDonald’s All-American nominee. He also participated in the 2023 Nike Hoops Summit.
Prior to Brewster Academy, Bowen played his first two seasons at St. George School in Rhode Island, where he was ranked as the No. 17 recruit by ESPN and led the team to an ISL Championship during his sophomore year.
