Texas A&M Announces Rosters for Maroon & White Game Set for April 18 Texas A&M football has released the official rosters for its annual Maroon & White Game, scheduled for Saturday, April 18, at Kyle Field. The intrasquad scrimmage will begin at 1 p.m. CT and is open to the public with free admission. Head coach Mike Elko enters his third season with the program following an 11-2 campaign in 2025 that included a 7-1 mark in SEC play and the Aggies’ first College Football Playoff appearance. Under Elko’s leadership, Texas A&M led the nation in third-down defense (.229) and ranked among the national leaders in tackles for loss allowed (3.31), tackles for loss (8.5), and sacks (3.31). The Maroon team will be led by defensive complete TJ Searcy, who was selected as the number one overall pick in the team draft. Searcy transferred from Florida and recorded 31 tackles, and 1.5 sacks during the 2025 season. On the White team, rising sophomore Marco Jones was chosen as the first overall pick after recording 21 tackles and 2.5 sacks as a freshman. Quarterback competition features prominently in this year’s game. The White team will be guided by last year’s starting quarterback Marcel Reed and wide receiver Mario Craver, who aim to build on their chemistry from the 2025 season. Freshman wide receiver Aaron Gregory, who has received consistent praise during spring practices, will also notice action for the White squad. At receiver, Craver will face off against Maroon cornerback Julio Humphrey in what coaches anticipate will be a key matchup. Humphrey is competing for a starting role against incoming transfer Rickey Gibson III, while five-star freshman Brandon Arrington — the nation’s top-ranked cornerback recruit and a track athlete — will battle for playing time at the X receiver position opposite Gregory. The Maroon offense will feature two 4-star quarterback prospects: redshirt freshman Brady Hart and incoming true freshman Helaman Casuga. Though the same age, Hart brings the advantage of additional experience within the Aggie system after reclassifying from the high school class of 2026 to enroll at Texas A&M a year early. Casuga, a highly-touted recruit, will look to create an early impact in his first spring with the program. Additional details regarding fan activities, parking, and event logistics will be announced closer to game day. The Maroon & White Game serves as the culmination of Texas A&M’s spring football period and offers fans an early look at the 2026 roster as the team prepares for the upcoming season.
