## One UI 8.5 has already been discovered
Samsung began to launch the Android 16-based One UI 8 a few days ago for the Galaxy S25, but the first one UI 8.5 firmware specific to the Galaxy S25 Ultra has appeared in its internal servers. The detection of G998BXXS8EXI2 compilation confirms that the manufacturer will not stop after launching an important update.
From what is known, Samsung has been testing One UI 8.5 internally for months, but this is the first time a specific firmware has been detected.The discovery suggests that there is already a functional version of the update, even though it is indeed still under internal development, without indication of when public tests will begin.
as usual, One UI 8.5 will arrive preinstalled with the Galaxy S26 series next year. The Galaxy S26, the Galaxy S26 Edge and the galaxy S26 Ultra will be the first devices to receive this intermediate version when released in January 2026. Galaxy S25 owners will receive the update later, probably between March and May 2026, following Samsung’s historical pattern.
