The interstellar object 3I/ATLAS is currently traveling towards the Sun and is projected to reach perihelion-its closest approach-on October 29, 2025. This event marks a critical juncture in the object’s journey, after which it will become obscured from view for an extended period.

Avi Loeb,a scientist at Harvard University,proposes a compelling,though speculative,scenario.Loeb suggests that if 3I/ATLAS is an extraterrestrial spacecraft, it could potentially utilize the Sun’s gravitational pull in a “slingshot” maneuver to alter its course towards Earth.
