We’re done with Halloween Havoc and there are a few new champions. Darkstate got the Tag Team Titles back from the Hardys while Blake Monroe and Tatum Paxley both won their first singles titles in NXT. We are less then a month away from the two-week Gold Rush specials, so let’s get too it.

Long halloween Havoc recap.

trick Williams storms the production area and yells about the video playing of the title match from Halloween Havoc. He goes from the back to the arena, yelling at various people along the ring. Williams gets in the ring, saying he’s been running things around here for years. He would beat Ricky Saints 99 times out of 100, so get him his title shot.Cue Ava with security to say he just flat out lost. Williams lists off his resume and is ready to keep going, but here is Saints for the pull-apart brawl.

Video on Axiom vs.Jasper Troy.

Speed Title #1 Contenders Tournament Finals: Axiom vs.Jasper Troy

Axiom dropkicks him in the leg and kicks away to start, which earns him quite the glare from Troy. Some more shots to the leg just annoy Troy, who grabs a backbreaker, followed by a clothesline to the back of the head. Axiom’s dragon screw legwhip over the rope sets up a missile dropkick, and they’re both down.

We have a minute left as Axiom hits a jumping knee but gets flatted with a standing body block. The Black Hole Slam is countered into a sleeper, which is reversed into a World’s Strongest Slam. Now the Black Hole Slam can finish Axiom at 2:55. Could have been worse, though Troy vs. El Grande Americano is…something.

Ava is with Sol Ruca and Zaria. Ruca has to decide if the Speed Title is vacated or if someone can defend it in her absence. Ruca thinks for a second and vacates the title, which doesn’t leave Zaria very happy.A tournament starts next week.

Here is the Culling for Tatum Paxley’s first comments as the Women’s Champion. Halloween Havoc was the greatest night of her life, and she can’t believe she is here. Yeah, she can be a bit too much at times, but if this creepy little weirdo can be Women’s Champion, anyone can do it. She wants to be a fighting champion who gives anyone a shot, but izzi Dame doesn’t think that’s a great idea.

It’s been a long road here for Paxley, so is she sure she should defend it so soon? She should make people earn their shot and offer the Culling to help her choose…but Paxley wants to defend the title tonight. Paxley unveils a wheel of potential challengers (Shawn Spears points out that Dame’s name isn’t on it), and tonight, Lola vice is getting the shot. Dame does not seem pleased. They’re not being subtle with this, and that’s ok.

Trick Williams is looking for Ricky Saints.

Kendal Gray is ready for Lash Legend, and wren Sinclair gives her a pep talk. Sinclair is invited to the ring with her, which pleases her quite a bit.

Evolve Women’s Title: Kendal Grey vs. Lash Legend

Grey, with Wren Sinclair, is defending. The much bigger Legend powers her around to start, so

NXT Gold Rush Fallout: Chaos, Title Shots, and a Controversial Retainment

NXT kicked off with a chaotic brawl between paxley, Fatal Influence, and Izzi Dame, resulting in a double disqualification at 3:57. The segment felt more like an angle setting up future storylines, perhaps pitting Paxley against Fatal Influence with Dame adding a layer of complexity. Despite a somewhat questionable title win around Halloween, Paxley appears to be starting her reign as Women’s North American Champion on a positive note.

Blake Monroe, enjoying a bath, boasted about her recent title victory and announced her first defense at Gold Rush in New York City, complete with a Maybelline plug.

A backstage segment featured Je’Von Evans discussing the night’s events with Leon Slater, touching on the Tag Team Titles before Slater headed to speak with santino Marella. Darkstate interrupted, issuing a threat to Evans and hinting at a potential title match.

Sol Ruca and Zaria discussed the Women’s North American title, with Zaria declaring her intention to win the upcoming Speed tournament in Ruca’s honor. Fatal Influence, with Jacy Jayne, crashed the conversation, vowing to reclaim her title.

A recap of the ongoing issues between Trick Williams and Ricky Saints was also shown.

TNA Knockouts Title: Jordynne Grace vs. Kelani jordan

Jordynne Grace initiated the match with a headlock, but Kelani Jordan quickly responded with a flurry of flips and spins. Jordan’s offense included a neck snap and a Lionsault attempt. After a break, Grace executed a reverse Alabama Slam but visibly favored her knee. A striking exchange followed, with Grace gaining the upper hand.

Jordan targeted Grace’s knee, but Grace countered with a spinning spinebuster. Jordan blocked the Juggernaut Driver and landed a split-legged handspring Stunner. Grace attempted a Vader Bomb, but her knee buckled.

The match continued with a powerbomb from Grace and a rollup from Jordan, both resulting in near falls. jordan executed a super Spanish Fly from the top rope, but the match descended into chaos with the arrival of Trick Williams and Ricky Saints, who brawled into the arena. Jordan initially considered using the title belt, but ultimately discarded the idea. Grace attempted a rolling German suplex, but ultimately Jordan retained her title at 12:29 with a belt shot while the referee was distracted by the brawl.

Rating: B-. This match marked another setback for Jordynne Grace, raising concerns about her trajectory. A win is needed to restore the momentum she once possessed in NXT.

The Final Score: Torture Review

A lot of this show felt like fallout from Halloween Havoc, though the Saints vs. Williams feud continuing is a bit much. Maybe they just don’t think they have time to set up someone new, but it doesn’t feel like the most thrilling match. Conversely, it does feel like there are some bright spots on the horizon, with names like Borne and Grey having my attention. Not a great show, but they’re getting ready for the bigger stuff in the next few weeks.

NXT (10/28/25) Review: Fallout and Future Bright Spots

This show largely felt like fallout from Halloween Havoc. While the continuation of the Saints vs. Williams feud is understandable given time constraints, it doesn’t feel especially thrilling. It seems they may lack the time to build up new challengers, but the current storyline feels less than captivating.

However, there are promising signs on the horizon.Names like Borne and Grey have genuinely captured my attention and offer potential for exciting developments.

this wasn’t a great show, but it appears to be a stepping stone towards bigger events in the coming weeks. It’s a period of transition, and while not immediately compelling, it hints at brighter things to come.

Understanding and Implementing Zero Trust Architecture

For years, network security operated on a “trust but verify” model. Everything inside the network perimeter was generally trusted. This approach is fundamentally broken. Modern threats, like ransomware and insider attacks, frequently originate from within the network. Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) flips this model on its head. It operates on the principle of “never trust, always verify.” This means every user, device, and application – weather inside or outside the network – must be authenticated, authorized, and continuously validated before being granted access to resources.

What is Zero Trust?

Zero Trust isn’t a single product you can buy. It’s a strategic approach to security. It’s a set of guiding principles, not a specific technology. The core idea is to eliminate implicit trust and assume breach. This assumption forces organizations to actively verify everything trying to connect to its systems. Think of it like airport security: everyone, even frequent flyers, goes through screening.

Key Principles of Zero Trust

  • Assume Breach: Always act as if an attacker is already present in the environment.
  • Verify Explicitly: Authentication and authorization are required for every access request, irrespective of location.
  • Least Privilege Access: Grant users only the minimum level of access necessary to perform their job functions.
  • Microsegmentation: Divide the network into small, isolated segments to limit the blast radius of a potential breach.
  • Continuous monitoring: Constantly monitor and analyze network traffic for suspicious activity.

Components of a Zero Trust Architecture

Implementing ZTA requires several key components working together:

  • Identity and access Management (IAM): Strong authentication methods (like multi-factor authentication – MFA) are crucial. IAM systems verify user identities and enforce access policies.
  • Endpoint Security: Ensuring devices accessing the network are secure and compliant. This includes antivirus, endpoint detection and response (EDR), and device posture assessment.
  • Network Segmentation: Microsegmentation, using technologies like software-defined networking (SDN) and firewalls, isolates critical assets.
  • Data Security: Protecting data at rest and in transit through encryption, data loss prevention (DLP), and access controls.
  • Security Information and Event Management (SIEM): Collecting and analyzing security logs to detect and respond to threats.
  • Security Orchestration, Automation and Response (SOAR): automating security tasks and incident response to improve efficiency.

Implementing Zero Trust: A Phased Approach

Transitioning to a Zero Trust architecture is a journey, not a destination. A phased approach is recommended:

  1. Define Your Protect Surface: Identify your most critical data, assets, applications, and services. Focus your initial efforts on protecting these.
  2. Map the Transaction Flows: Understand how data flows through your environment. Identify potential vulnerabilities.
  3. architect a Zero Trust Environment: Design a security architecture based on the principles of zero Trust, incorporating the necessary components.
  4. Create Zero Trust Policies: Develop granular access control policies based on user identity, device posture, and data sensitivity.
  5. monitor and Maintain: continuously monitor your environment, refine your policies, and adapt to evolving threats.

Benefits of Zero Trust

  • Reduced Attack Surface: Limits the potential impact of breaches.
  • Improved Threat Detection: Continuous monitoring and verification help identify malicious activity.
  • Enhanced Compliance: Supports compliance with various regulations and standards.
  • Increased visibility: Provides greater insight into network activity.
  • greater Flexibility: Enables secure access from anywhere, on any device.

FAQ

Q: Is Zero Trust expensive to implement?

A: It can be,but it doesn’t have to be. A phased approach allows you to prioritize investments and focus on your most critical assets. Leveraging existing security tools where possible can also reduce costs.

Q: Will Zero Trust slow down users?

A: Initially, there might be some minor friction as users adjust to new authentication requirements. Though, well-implemented ZTA can actually improve performance by reducing the risk of disruptions caused by security incidents.

Q: Is Zero Trust only for large organizations?

A: No.organizations of all sizes can benefit from Zero Trust. The principles are applicable regardless of scale.

Key Takeaways

  • Zero Trust is a security framework based on “never trust, always verify.”
  • It’s not a single product, but a strategic approach.
  • Implementation requires strong IAM, endpoint security, network segmentation, and continuous monitoring.
  • A phased approach is recommended for successful adoption.
  • Zero Trust significantly reduces risk and improves overall security posture.
