polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk condemned what he described as “russian state terrorism” after the sabotage of a railway line used to deliver aid to neighboring Ukraine, AFP reported.
In a brief address to parliament, Tusk called on Poles to unite against Moscow’s attempts “to sow discord in relations with Europe, Ukraine and above all among Poles themselves.”
“The subversive actions, inspired and organized for months by Kremlin services, have recently crossed the critical line and now we can even talk about state terrorism,” he said.
Tusk claims that their aim was to destroy human lives and destabilize the foundations of the Polish state.
A clamp was attached to the tracks between Saturday and Monday, possibly to cause a derailment.
Moscow Condemns Polish Sabotage Claims
On Tuesday, Moscow condemned Polish claims of its involvement in the acts of sabotage, accusing warsaw of Russophobia.
In his address, Tusk urged lawmakers not to repeat pro-Russian narratives, reminding them of a massive disinformation campaign trying to shift blame to Ukraine.
“Support Ukraine in its war against Russia without any ‘buts,'” he told parliament.
