Fire at Transformer House on Transportweg in Maasdijk

maasdijk,26.11.2025 update – The fire brigade responded to a fire report at Eetcafé Westgaag on Tuesday evening.

Upon arrival, it was discovered that a fire had erupted in a transformer house on an industrial estate on Transportweg. A witness reported hearing a thud shortly before the incident, followed by the failure of street lighting and partial power outages in the surrounding area.

Firefighters found a burning meter cupboard and notable smoke within the transformer house. Due to the room being secured, the team considered forcing entry to ensure safe access. An Officer on Duty was dispatched to coordinate the operation.
