Fortnite to Introduce “Restarter Island” – A Gulag-Inspired System

Fortnite is reportedly adapting a system similar to the gulag from call of Duty: Warzone, offering eliminated players a chance to re-enter the game.

While Fortnite is often in the news for its frequent collaborations, the introduction of a new gameplay system is a noteworthy development. Though inspired by mechanics found in other battle royale titles, the Fortnite development team appears to have unique plans for its implementation.

Rumors regarding this new system, dubbed “Restarter Island,” were shared by reliable leaker ShiinaBR via a recent tweet. According to the leak, players who are eliminated will be sent to Restarter Island to compete in a series of mini-games. The winner of a best-of-three series will then earn the chance to redeploy back into the main battle royale match.
