Man Disappears After Arriving in US for grandsons Graduation
（CNN） In May of this year in the southern state of Alabama in the United States, a man who had flown from Kenya, Africa too attend his grandson’s high school graduation ceremony suddenly disappeared. Despite an intense search by local police, the man’s whereabouts remain unknown.
On May 14, six days before his grandson’s graduation, Reuben Waithaka, 72, flew more than 13,000 kilometers from Kenya and arrived in Calera, a town south of Birmingham, where his son’s family lives. The suitcase was filled with thoughtful souvenirs, including a faded photograph of her son when he was young and African-print shirts for him, his grandson, and himself.

However, ther was no chance for those three generations to stand together, proudly wearing matching clothes.
Mr. Waithaka disappeared the morning after landing in the United States with his wife, Elizabeth Barua, after leaving his son Willington Barua’s home on foot.
The Barua family’s front door camera captured Waithaka coming into the space in front of the garage at 11:08 a.m. he was dressed neatly in khaki pants, a blue and white checked shirt, and black shoes.
About 30 minutes later, Waithaka was seen on security camera footage walking into a gas station about 3 kilometers away. after waving at the store clerk, he went into the restroom and left through the back door, whereupon he disappeared.
“As soon as my grandfather got here, he was gone,” said his grandson Byron Barua, 17, who graduated from high school five days later.

Seven weeks have passed as then, and still no clues have been found. Calera is a town with a population of around 19,000 located approximately 48 kilometers south of birmingham.police have used helicopters, drones, off-road vehicles, tracking dogs and thermal imaging cameras to comb the thicket surrounding the town, but so far nothing has been found.
“Sometimes I regret why I invited my parents to my son’s
