OpenAI has been waiting for this big moment for months. Today,it launched its own market,directly in the web and mobile application ChatGPT. While previously connection with applications was possible only through prompts in which you had to explicitly name services, now integration with other services is much easier. Just choose the app you need for your chatgpt needs.
Access to applications is from the side menu. This is what the current catalog and preview of the selected application look like. You install it with the Connect button.
You can find the application after opening ChatGPT in the left menu under the Applications tab. It’s a beta version, so we didn’t get integration with all apps (like Spotify, Photoshop, and Apple Music), and even when we clicked into the search box, the keyboard didn’t appear. Or else, you can browse the catalog of apps that are currently relevant to your chosen apps, lifestyle, and productivity.
App availability
OpenAI states that some applications may not be available in the UK or the EEA (European Economic Area) because partners do not offer thier services there. Some applications may only work with those who have some form of premium subscription (Plus, Pro, Business, Enterprise, Edu).
Once you have selected the application, just select the Connect button and confirm. When finished, a whistle will appear next to the application icon in the catalog and you can easily refer to the application via chat in ChatGPT. The environment is in Czech, but most applications are described in English.
But not everything works yet
We can demonstrate this using the example of AllTrails – an application that displays tourist routes according to your input. Just type “@” in the chat and continue with the name of the applications, and chatgpt will show you all the installed applications one by one as you type. Typically, it is enough to wriet: “@AllTrails Find me short trails near Ostrava within five kilometers” and a map and a text description of the routes will be displayed directly in the chat.

ChatGPT has launched a new “GPTs” store, allowing users to create and share custom versions of the chatbot. The GPT store currently features a limited number of applications, with OpenAI recently opening it up to more developers, subject to an approval process. Currently, developers are compensated only when users are redirected to a native app or website. OpenAI is actively working to refine this monetization model, with plans to enable payments directly through chatgpt in the near future.
