Measles case Identified in Gaston County
Gaston County, N.C. – State health officials have confirmed a case of measles in Gaston County. The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services and Gaston County Public Health are working to identify and inform potentially exposed individuals.
A person infected with measles traveled through Gaston County while contagious. Anyone who visited Constantine’s Restaurant, at 1825 S. New Hope Road in Gastonia, after 8:30 p.m. on December 26th, could have been exposed. You should monitor for symptoms until January 16th.
The individual also attended Christmas Town USA in McAdenville, North Carolina, from 5:30 to 8 p.m. on December 26th. Though, as the person remained outdoors and didn’t enter any buildings, health officials believe the risk of transmission to other attendees is low.
