I want to personally congratulate a close friend of mine….a mentor, a remarkable confidant, and an inspirational soul, james Brown, on his recent induction into “The National Sports Media Hall of Fame.”
This couldn’t have happened to a better person!
I have been associated with the sports & buisness world for the last 38 years of my life , since I was an 11 year old girl, being interviewed by countless people as a young child. I know that sounds crazy….but that was my life as a young child.
Of all the hundreds, if not thousands of people I have known in the industry of sports- as a commentator/athlete and beyond, nobody stands out for me, like the great James Brown.
JB epitomizes what a journalist should be: Authentic, Honest, Empathetic, Informed and Brilliant .
His questions, his poise and his ability to get to the heart of the matter is what separates him from everyone else.
I’m so proud to acknowledge his very recent acceptance into the “National Sports Media Hall of Fame” , but I am even more proud to call him a friend.
