Barbara Diletto (Scavetti) – A Life Remembered

Barbara Diletto,née Scavetti,passed away peacefully on January 15,2026,at the age of 79.A woman who found joy in simple pleasures – a comforting cup of coffee and a cherished cigarette – Barbara’s life was most profoundly defined by her unwavering love for her grandchildren.

Born to the late Joseph and Dorothy Scavetti, barbara dedicated her heart, time, and endless affection to her family. She was a loving mother to Kristen (Mark) Rescigno and Jason Diletto,and a devoted “mom Mom” to Jason (Danielle) and nadia. Her legacy of love continues through her great-grandchildren, Jason and Krew.

Barbara is also survived by her sister, debbie (Vincent) Bognanni, and her brother, Joseph (Tina) Scavetti.She was preceded in death by her brother,Salvatore Scavetti,and is remembered fondly by her many nieces and nephews.

Visitation and Funeral Mass

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Barbara’s life at stella maris Church, located at 10th and bigler Streets, on Wednesday, January 21st. Visitation will be held from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM, followed by a Funeral mass at 10:00 AM. Interment will be private.
