Coleraine, Co Derry – A major police investigation is underway following the death of 43-year-old wayne Reid, discovered at a residence in the Society Court area on Monday. Seven individuals are currently in custody, arrested in connection with the murder.
police responded to a call on Monday and pronounced Mr. Reid dead at the scene. Detectives have been working diligently to establish the circumstances surrounding his death.
The latest arrests, made today, involve two women aged 45 and 38, both held on suspicion of murder. These follow four arrests made yesterday, bringing the total number of individuals being questioned to seven.
Those currently in police custody include three women and one man, ranging in age from 28 to 41. A 33-year-old man, initially arrested on wednesday, remains in custody as part of the ongoing investigation.
Investigators believe Mr. Reid may have been involved in an altercation in the days preceding the discovery of his body.Police are appealing for details from anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Society court area during that time.
