Regional Athletics Championships See Strong performances Across Categories
A recent regional athletics championship showcased extraordinary results from young athletes across the Sub10, Sub12, adn Sub14 categories. HereS a summary of the key winners:
Sub14 Category:
Isaac Pérez, representing Eliocroca, excelled with victories in the 60m hurdles (11.20), long jump (3.81m), and 600g discus (21.43m).Rodrigo Raja, of Atletismo Mazarrón, topped the high jump (1.05m) and triple jump (7.67m). Adrián De Frutos (Cartago Atletismo) won the pole vault long jump (3.10m), while Martín Moreno (Atletismo La Manga) secured first place in the 2kg weight throw (6.41m). Daniel Fernández, from Cehegín Atletismo, was victorious in the 2kg hammer throw (16.44m). Francisco José Aroca, representing Caravaca de la Cruz, won the vortex javelin (36.14m), and Álvaro López, of UCAM Athleo Cieza, claimed the top spot in the 2,000m march (12:55.52).
Sub12 Category (Female):
Valeria Alonso (UCAM Cartagena) emerged victorious in the 60m sprint (9.08).Valeria Carrillo, from C.A. Nogalte – Hogar Puerto Lumbreras, won the 500m (1:36.32). Carlota Alcaraz (UCAM Cartagena) triumphed in both the 1,000m (3:39.75) and the 60m hurdles (11.39). Ainhoa Pagán, representing F. Álamo CjRural Regional,won the 2,000m (9:39.28). Claudia Ibarra (Eliocroca) secured first place in the high jump (1.21m). Lola Alcázar (Grupo Alcaraz) won the long jump (3.59m), and iria Martínez-Iglesias (Caravaca de la Cruz) was the best in triple jump (7.88m). Ana Reina, also from Caravaca de la Cruz, won the pole vault long jump (3.03m). Ariadna Martínez (Atletismo La Manga) won both the 2kg weight throw (7.97m) and the vortex javelin (28.84m). Isabel Martínez (C.A. Murcia PDS Group) took first place in the 600g discus (13.50m), and Pilar Sánchez (Eliocroca) won the 2kg hammer throw (15.51m). Ana García, of Cehegín Atletismo, was victorious in the 2,000m march (12:35.38).
