President Connolly Embarks on Frist Official Visit to County Kerry
President Catherine Connolly is undertaking her first official visit to County Kerry today, marking a critically important engagement with local culture and community initiatives. The President’s schedule includes engagements in both North and South Kerry, highlighting a diverse range of activities.
This afternoon, President Connolly will join Minister for Culture, Communications and Sport, Patrick O’donovan, in ballybunion to attend ‘What if We Were Brilliant?’, an event hosted by the Brilliant Ballybunion group.This organization has dedicated the past two years to fostering local food production, creativity, and environmental stewardship. The event, taking place at the Tinteán Theatre from 1pm to 3.30pm, will showcase the work of artist Lisa fingleton and community partners through talks, films, artworks, and a book launch.
Later this evening, the President will travel to Caherdaniel to officially launch the Éigse na Brídeoige festival at 7.30pm. This festival, celebrating Irish culture through music, song, and discussion, will continue through Sunday, offering a vibrant program of events for attendees.
