UCBLK delivers an evening of stand-up,sketch,and improv comedy,spotlighting the vibrant talent within New York City’s Black comedy scene at the Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre.
Hosted by Justin Catchens, Dominique Kaplowitz, and Shem Pennant, UCBLK consistently features a rotating cast of comedians each month.Recent performers have included established writers such as Jo Sunday, a contributor to Saturday night Live, alongside rising stars.
Attendees can expect a diverse range of comedic styles and perspectives, all centered around the Black experience. Beyond the laughter, UCBLK events often include giveaways courtesy of sponsors like The Travel Agency: A Cannabis Store.
