On February 12, units of the Security Service of Ukraine and other components of the Defense Forces struck the Ukhtinsky oil refinery in the Russian Komi Republic.

Details: According to preliminary information, after the defeat, a fire broke out at the AVT technological section and the visbreaking unit (the main purpose of the visbreaking unit is to reduce the viscosity of raw materials to obtain commercial fuel oil and additional light fractions (gasoline, gas oil).

The enterprise, part of the structure of PJSC Lukoil, processes oil with an annual volume of about 4.2 million tons. The main products are motor and straight-run gasoline, diesel fuel, fuel oil, and vacuum gas oil.
The plant is involved in supplying the Russian occupation army.
A source in the SBU says that this is a new range record for Ukrainian drones – 1,750 km from the Ukrainian border.
What preceded: On January 12, Russian authorities announced a drone attack on several regions of the Russian Federation and, in particular, on an oil refinery in the city of Ukhta, in the Komi Republic.
