“When I looked to buy menstrual panties in Paris, I realized that no place dedicated to women’s health and well-being existed. » After several years of research and reflection, Léa Deturche opened the first Pemlab boutique, dedicated to women, in 2023.
“We select the best products on the market for women. We also offer naturopathy, psychology and alternative medicine consultations and we are gradually launching our own range of products,” explains Léa Deturche.
Since then, the entrepreneur has surrounded herself with three partners, including Lorie Pester, thanks to a common friendship. “I think that artists must put their notoriety at the service of a cause”, believes the singer suffers from endometriosis, adenomyosis, who had to freeze her eggs, resort to PMA to have her daughter and who finally underwent removal of the uterus. “Today, we are here to make up for 40 years of delay in women’s health and well-being,” underlines the singer.
Develop a product range
To grow, Pemlab plans to open three to five own stores and then expand into franchises. On the set of “Who wants to be my partner?” »broadcast this Thursday, February 12, the four entrepreneurs asked for 100,000 euros for 10% of their capital.
A proposal which only convinced Jean-Michel Karam, after having negotiated 15% of the capital for this amount. “We especially needed advice. Jean-Michel Karam has experience in the beauty and well-being sector, he also has experience in franchises and a large network, he will help us a lot,” underlines Léa Deturche, who is currently finalizing negotiations to integrate it into the capital of her company. “We are already working with his teams, with whom we are in contact almost daily and we have already shot videos with him in the store”rejoices the founder.
Thanks to him and the funds invested in Pemlab, the company plans to develop its offering and invest in communication and marketing. “In particular, we want to expand our range of products. We have already launched herbal teas, we have also improved their composition and we offer three variants: an infusion for stress, one for painful periods and one for baby projects”explains Léa Deturche, who wishes to continue to develop her range of products, including food supplements.
5 million turnover in 2029
Thanks to this, the company, which achieved 280,000 euros in turnover in 2025, is counting on a turnover of 350,000 euros in 2026, 2 million in 2028 and even 5 million in 2029. “Tomorrow, we hope to create places for women throughout France and internationally. In the next three years, we will target major French cities such as Lyon, Bordeaux, Paris, Lille and Marseille. Then within five years, we hope to establish ourselves in Switzerland, Belgium, Spain and Portugal. »
