The key word of Feff 28 will be “multitude“. The idea underlying this choice is that the audience of a film festival is not a simple sum of spectators: it is one multitude of souls. As, l’image of the 28th edition was commissioned to the award-winning American illustrator Andy Rementer (assisted by the art director from Udine Margherita Urbani, his life partner). An image that opposes the desire (the need, perhaps the urgency) of “being together”, of totally sharing an experience, to the disintegrations of which the world has become ill. And here is represented, in Rementer’s drawings, the multitude of the Feff: a playful and bright gallery of faces and, therefore, of stories, of roots, of different lives. The faces of the Fareastians alternate (why not?) with the faces we have seen and will see in the films of the festival. A non-rhetorical symbol of plurality e di union under the sign of cinema.
