Boat Fire on Lake Ray Hubbard Leaves Vessel a Total Loss
A boat was destroyed by fire on Lake Ray Hubbard in Dallas, Texas, on Sunday afternoon, officials said. Two individuals were on board but safely evacuated to a friend’s boat before Dallas Fire-Rescue (DFR) arrived on the scene.
Details of the Incident
According to DFR, the fire began around 4:45 p.m. Even as the boat was out on the lake. Marine One, DFR’s marine unit, responded to the incident and extinguished the flames. By the time firefighters arrived, no one remained on the burning vessel.
Witnesses reported hearing a loud noise before flames erupted from the floor of the boat. The boat is considered a total loss.
